Been discussing emotional intelligence and empathy (The Bladerunner test for replicants) with my daughter who is growing up so fast. Popularity at school is a big thing even now but understadning the bigger picture is even better. A huge part of the cool part is just the confidence to remake your own personal universe. July 2001 was the birth date of my daughter which is cause for much optimism. Parenthood is a parallell universe and an adventure all on its own. It was a good thing that you started planning your move back at that time since September 11 was just around the corner and it was a huge shock to all. Sadly the word "the journey" has become somewhat cliched it doesn't denounce it's truth. But Remo the journey goes way back to when I remember visiting you when you were at Columbia early 80s...all a little foggy now ...I can remember what I guess was an early incarnation of Remo communciation...back of the door advertising ? what was that.
